GLB68S Meteor Lamp (Small) - Burnt Toffee H.325mm/12 3/4", W.230mmm/9" With 14" Bongo Shade, H.615mm/24 1/4", W.355mm/14" This is glass, but not as you know it. The Meteor Lamps are the result of a collaboration with our friend and artist Adam Aaronson. To understand the complexity of these pieces is to understand the incredible talent of the maker. A shape is blown, it's 'punched' which forces air out and results in these wonderful ebs and flows within the glass's surface. Coloured glass powders are hand painted on to give the complex and luxurious build-up of tone and texture. Rich golds, caramels, blackened sand, and intense chocolate collide on this impressive canvas. Each piece is completely unique due to the mix of heat and air which never produces the same effect twice. The result is something that looks almost ceramic but on closer inspection, has the unmistakable gravitas of glass.
