Concept
Juno is a freestanding washbasin carved from Carrara marble. The project originates from a reflection on the body and its domestic inhabitation. The 'nudity' of the body and the bathroom as place were key starting points in the creative process. Observation of the Junonian nudes in Ingres' painting The Turkish Bath and the Merini verse 'Nudity refreshes my soul' shaped the project's expressive sign.

Carrara marble

Freestanding washbasin

Design notes
The choice of a feminine form aims to amplify the ventral relationship both in its anatomical function and in its role as a basin-object: to receive.
