Brazilian Chestnut, Sucupira is a South American species known for rich brown colors and a unique ropey and fibrous grain pattern. The open grain provides a visual texture that is rich and luxurious.
Wood of South American origin, BRAZILIAN CHESTNUT / SUCUPIRA (bowdichia nitida) presents with brown when freshly cut to dark brown after drying. Light brown narrow stripes, giving a fibrous aspect to the wood.
