ITAUBA Native to South America, Itauba is a very durable and decay resistant wood species that can be seen as an alternative to other exotic species. Itauba shares some of the same color range as ipe, but it is generally lighter in color, with a n appearance more brown than red. The color can range from goldfish browns to deep lustrous browns, and can have small natural black spots that become less visible as the wood ages.
