The design of this chair is inspired by traditional Viennese wooden chairs as found in the coffee- houses and winebars of the Austrian capital or in the Prater.
Made from birch plywood pressed together with dark phenolic resin, the soft curve in the chair’s seat and backrest are manufactured using CNC milling. With this kind of milling, several layers of wood are penetrated, thus allowing the glue to be visible between the different layers. This technique gives the chair its unique finish and look. Each chair is a one-off design.
Due to these features and due to the fact that the chair has tested suitable for use in pubs, Go- ogle chose to fit out the restaurant of its Europe- an headquarters in London with the Prater chair (and also with our Ludwig tables and benches).
Prater is available in white, grey, yellow and black. All designs are stackable and feature arm- rests. Also available with matching cushions or sheepskin.
