With BRICK table RODA discovers that even with a simple and natural material such as wood it is possible to “make technology”.
The concept of the new extendable table BRICK is already declared in its name: the valuable teak, in all its magnificence, breaks down into an original rhythmic game of joints, geometrically perfect, that draw the top. The dynamism of the extendable top is balanced by the stable structure, designed by sharp and essential lines that model the teak.
Thanks to its generous dimensions and the practical butterfly opening system, which hides the functional extensions under the top, BRICK can create a convivial space.
Due to the complex structure and the high number of wooden bricks of the table-top, slight movements of such parts may occur over time, if directly exposed to the atmospheric agents.
These movements are natural and do not compromise the use and functionality of the table.
In order to preserve BRICK and maintain it stable over time, it’s preferable to position it under a covered area, like a porch or a veranda.
BRICK extendable table has received the honour mention at the XXIV Premio Compasso d’Oro in 2016.
