Covering over the cracks. When insulating general building applications, ROCKWOOL stone wool slabs provide the best thermal, acoustic and fire protection in any given application. The Ablative Coating is used in conjunction with the Ablative Coated batt to enhance fire performance. It can also be used in additional fire stopping applications such as linear and trapezoidal applications to provide an effective seal to inhibit the passage of smoke. This water-based liquid can be used to ensure the Ablative Coated batt is sealed and to reinstate coating which may have been damaged during installation. Supplied in white with other colours available based on minimum order quantities. Whilst adding greater fire protection and an aesthetic finish, ROCKWOOL Ablative Liquid adds to the performance of the stone wool slabs. In case of a fire, the ablative coatings releases water vapour which cools the surface and in conjunction with the stone wool slab assists to prevent the passage of fire, heat and smoke. ROCKWOOL Ablative Liquid is available separately from ROCKWOOL stone wool slabs for greater accessibility to enable site repairs to damaged ablative coated batts and other flexible usage. This product is also easy to use and can be sprayed or brushed to apply. Accreditation: Fully complies with BS476: Part 20 standards. Aesthetics – the ablative coating in conjunction with stone wool offers a durable aesthetic finish. Long lasting durability – when applied in accordance with ROCKWOOL guidelines, this product can offer a durability of up to 15 years.
