Acoustic Insulation for HVAC Equipment. HVAC equipment travels throughout a building to deliver or extract air, water, waste products, etc. Reducing unwanted sound through these services can be challenging. Techwrap2 is a high performance acoustic solution for various types of equipment and ductwork that combats these challenges. ROCKWOOL Techwrap2 is a laminate product made up of ROCKWOOL stone wool insulation, acoustic membrane and a layer of reinforced aluminium foil. It has been specially engineered to facilitate the highest standard of noise control to square or rectangular ductwork. Techwrap2 can provide thermal and acoustic insulation to HVAC equipment operating at temperatures ranging from 0˚C to 230˚C, though outer facing temperatures should not exceed 80˚C. 75mm wide plain aluminium foil self-adhesive tape should be used to seal all joints. • The superior acoustic performance is maintained by preserving thickness at corners, bends and fixing locations • ROCKWOOL Techwrap2 is easy to apply allowing for efficient installation. • The material can simply be cut with a sharp knife to suit specific duct sizes. • Techwrap2 has excellent insulation properties and is suitable for HVAC equipment operating in the temperature range of 0-230ºC (subject to the outer facing temperature not exceeding 80ºC)
