Overview
INSIO® is a next-generation vacuum glazing solution designed to provide high thermal and acoustic insulation. Its core consists of a thin vacuum gap of less than 0.3 mm between two glass panes, significantly reducing heat and sound transmission compared with conventional double or triple glazing. Using tempered safety glass allows fewer internal support pillars, enabling a slimmer glazing profile and very low Ug values, in some cases lower than leading triple glazing. Combined with a low-emissivity coating, INSIO® delivers premium energy performance while maintaining an elegant appearance, suitable for sustainable buildings, renovations and architectural projects.

CLIMAPLUS® INSIO®
CLIMAPLUS® INSIO® pairs the insulating properties of INSIO® (transparent insulation) with the practicality of a standard insulating glass unit. By integrating INSIO® into a conventional insulating glazing using a standard spacer and an outer lite, CLIMAPLUS® INSIO® achieves a standard unit thickness that simplifies installation in existing window systems. The outer lite can be selected from the Saint-Gobain Glass range to meet thermal, acoustic, solar control or aesthetic requirements. CLIMAPLUS® INSIO® is CE marked in accordance with EN 1279:2018.

Applications

• Replacement of existing glazing while retaining the existing window frame (renovation, restoration, listed buildings).
• Full window replacements for retrofit or new build, configured as CLIMAPLUS® INSIO® to behave like conventional insulating glass.
