Description

A natural stone used since the times of the Romans, variations of Travertine have been favoured for thousands of years to line the streets of the ancient capital. Travertine, famously, was the material chosen to construct the Colosseum. The creamy, speckled tones of Light Travertine bring timeless elegance to contemporary architecture and can be seen in projects such as Bergdorf Goodman in New York and ETH University in Zurich. Travertine is incredibly hard-wearing (after all, the Colosseum has stood for centuries) and works well in both indoor and outdoor applications. The small holes you may see on the surface are a natural characteristic of Light Travertine and should not be considered defects, however, you may choose to fill them during the installation process if you prefer a more uniform effect. Available in honed and our Bamboo texture.
