A faithful reproduction of the round dining table with ‘Circle’ inlay from the Proiezioni collection, this mini black and white table may only be a tenth of the size of the original, but there’s no decrease in its wow factor. The happy by-product of a quest to improve the level of sustainability in our production processes, the Miniatures family is the perfect example of what can be achieved through great design and creative thinking. Art and architecture can help shape the future, showing how respect for the environment does not have compromising on beauty or elegance. Made from offcuts of the Bianco Carrara and Nero Marquinia marbles used on the full-size version, the mini Proiezioni table is identical right down to the inlaid technique used to create the circular pattern on the table top’s compact 16-cm diameter. Each piece in the Miniatures collection represents a new life for all the lovely materials we use, meaning that pieces of gorgeous marble which might otherwise simply be thrown away are instead transformed into objets d’arte that epitomise the ethos of sustainable design.
