Having been commissioned by our editors, the father and son team Miguel and Gonzalo Milá embarked on the overwhelming task of designing a bench for the 21st century international market that could be transported in a flat, unassembled form; a formally humble, multicultural and hugely comfortable bench exhibiting economy of expression. A global, easy to assemble and install bench that is economical, simple and comfortable. The outcome is the Harpo bench, named after the friendliest of the Marx brothers, recognised the world over needing no introduction. As well as the bench, also available a table that forms an oasis of rest.
Harpo also provides the option of incorporating slats in different materials, varying its appearance whilst maintaining comfort and character.
