Jordi Miralbell and Mariona Raventós were a pair of design artisans who created different pieces of lighting and furniture, and tackled numerous projects together; amongst others, they were editors and partners at Santa & Cole. The poetic shapes of their lamps, crafted in materials such as parchment, raffia or cotton, offer different ways of lighting that reflect the essence of the creative duo: “Design is the art of transforming the utilitarian into an object of desire, made with human warmth.” Dorica is a radiant sculpture of light. A classic allegory by one of Barcelona’s most famous designer duo of the end of the century. A manifesto of the importance of industrial craftsmanship as the only way to offer the best user experience
