Essential composition, surprising and innovative.
“The fundamental concept, the idea that underpins this kitchen, is to conceal it using two elements, because the kitchen, in contrast, is always full of so many objects: hiding it by means of wooden shelves and white storage units. To create greater space, for a particular visual impression: to create something different from other kitchens, basically.
We called it Qi, which means bowl or container in Japanese, but also wood. So the Qi concept describes both the white storage unit and the wooden shelves: in a single word."
For perfect coordination of the environment, wall cladding and shelves can be matched with the Hono Elm decorative melamine of the wall-mounted base units. A winning solution, in aesthetic terms, in open-space situations.
Contain and exhibit, in complete freedom. Qi kitchen design by Nendo
Hono Elm decorative melamine embellishes the entire composition (doors, plinths, wall cladding), lending a very natural, essential feel to the kitchen environment.
Linear composition distinguished by a large Titanium Grey matt lacquered central island with dual cooking area and corresponding matching hoods. Of particular interest is the addition of three storage units, which characterise the Qi model, on the front of the block.
Natural balance of form and material for Qi, the kitchen designed by Nendo.
The composition is light and dynamic, thanks to the Kuuki Elm decorative melamine wall-mounted base units, which include the sink and cooking area, and to the hood that disappears, built into the ceiling.
