When American designer Peggy Norris creates furniture, then it is always also an expression of her passion. This is where the moments of her life are reflected that move and stimulate her. The magical moment of a sunrise or the deep, mysterious swirling of the sea. With an alert gaze, the designer observes all of the fine details that encounter and surround us. For Philipp Selva Home, Norris designed several selected, top-quality pieces of furniture with which she unites delicate lightness with feminine lines, thus creating an interplay between fresh design and coziness. For the creation of her designs, it was important for her to emphasize soft yet clear lines, in order to be capable of creating “lasting beauty”, as she herself calls it. Thus a timeless beauty that is inviting and tempting. “My requirement is to please other people with beauty,” Norris reveals. In so doing, she pays attention to uniting the suitable sizes and shapes and combining them with the fitting finishes and fabrics. The balance between the individual elements of the furniture has to be found, and these in turn have to complement each other and function as a whole. This approach was the genesis for five pieces of furniture from SELVA. In addition to the rounded, exceptionally comfortable dining room chair and an elegant quilted upholstery chair, her designs include a console with root veneer that is supplemented by an elegant upholstered ottoman, as well as a slender cocktail table.
