The refined barstool takes its origin from the timeless Sibast No 7 dining chair designed in 1953 by Helge Sibast and pays homage to the lines and the spirit of the Danish Modern movement from a contemporary perspective. Using the unique details from the Sibast No 7, such as the large moulded backrest and the tapered back legs, the dining chair has been transformed into the bold and generous Sibast No 7 bar chair. The upholstered seat and large backrest makes the bar chair exceptionally comfortable. It comes in two heights and fits perfectly into private residences as well as restaurants, bars and hotels. THE SIGNATURE OF EXTRAORDINARY CRAFTSMANSHIP Sibast Furniture works uncompromisingly to recreate Helge Sibast’s design-led chairs, which are now being produced to the same high standards of craftsmanship as when they were originally created. This is embodied by the Sibast No 7’ family. Loyalty to both craftsmanship and design has driving the 4. generation of the Sibast family, Ditlev and Anna Sibast to develop and add new elements to the Sibast No 7 dining chair by Helge Sibast in 1953. The couple jointly created Sibast No 7 Bar and Sibast No 7 Lounge chair, both of which are based on the dining chair’s iconic, moulded back and angled rear legs. The affinity among the three – dining chair, barstool and lounge chair – is obvious. Each chair has a relaxed, embracing style and bears the signature of Helge Sibast when it comes to extraordinary craftsmanship.
