Şişecam Low-E Glass is Şişecam Flat Glass’ heat control glass. Advantages Provides heat control and energy efficiency. Heating expenses are reduced. Do not compromise on natural day light and transparency. Reduces condensation on glass surface. Ensures maximum benefit from solar heat. In winter, cold spots by windows are eliminated and heat inside the room is radiated equally. Provides extremely high levels of protection against UV radiation over 68%, therefore helps to reduce fading and ageing effects. Provides safety and security when Low-E coating is applied on a laminated glass. Şişecam Low-E Glass is Şişecam Flat Glass’ heat control glass. Insulating Glass Unit (IGU) manufactured with Şişecam Low-E Glass reduces heat loss from windows by 77% compared to single glazing, 50% compared to ordinary IGU and provides savings from heating expenses. Applications ​​​Şişecam Low-E Glass is preferred in residential, small/medium sized commercial buildings and provides comfortable living areas to end users with its thermal insulation property. It is used with solar control glass in commercial buildings. Technical Specifications ​​​Şişecam Low-E Glass is manufactured by depositing multi layered metal/metal oxides on float glass through "magnetically enhanced vacuum sputtering" technology. Daylight” and “Solar Energy” properties are calculated with “TNO Science and Industry - WIS 3.01” program using spectral measurements in compliance with EN 410. “U-value” is calculated with “TNO Science and Industry - WIS 3.01” program according to EN 673. The emissivity measurements used for calculations are in compliance with EN 673 (Annex A) and EN 12898.
