Concrete skatepark EVERGREEN CENTER

Our second collaboration with Woodbridge Township is a skateboarding sanctuary located at the Evergreen Youth Center in Colonia. Design workshops revealed a desire for plaza-style terrain inspired by the urban streetscapes of New York City. In an effort to emulate that downtown aesthetic, the park features colored concrete, brick patterns and an architectural sensibility rarely seen in New Jersey skateparks. Acting as general contractor, Spohn Ranch managed the entire design/build process in a turnkey fashion – conceptualizing the space, creating engineered blueprints and executing all facets of construction including drainage, earthwork and concrete.
