CONSTRUCTION Wilton Wiltons are the most luxurious and fine machine-woven carpet quality in production today. Wiltons are unique because they are woven with all of the yarn running through the warp. Wilton carpets are woven on jacquard looms allowing for great design flexibility. The design is created by pulling the colour needed to the front and creating a loop out of it. Three to five colours can be used in a single row depending on the specifics of the loom. The remaining colours stay buried in the background and are not seen. This technique allows for intricate pattern detail and versatility of colour. Various pile heights are created with the use of wires. Level loop, multi-level loop, cut pile, and cut and loop carpets are all possible with wilton construction.
