In the Stern Table System six different types of tabletops are available, each of which comes with various finishes. These can be combined, according to taste, with a frame of aluminium or stainless steel. In only two steps, it is possible to design a customised "dream table" from nearly 700 possible combinations. Info material surface Silverstar table tops consist of up to 50 layers of paper laminate, which are compressed under heat and high pressure. This procedure gives the tabletop very special qualities, for it becomes scratch-resistant, heat-(180°C) and cold- (-20°C)resistant, UV-resistant, easy to care for and wear-resistant. Regardless of the number of decorative elements, the core is always black, which can be seen on the edges of the slab. In order to ensure stability of form, the tabletops must be firmly screwed to the frame.
