HISTORY The Anderson clan is widespread throughout Scotland under a few different forms. Predominantly MacAndrew in the Highlands, and Anderson in the lowlands. The Anderson tartan contains an unusually high amount of azure, very unusual amongst tartans, with 7 distinct colours azure, blue, green, black, white, red and yellow. Most tartans have 3 to 4 colours, the Anderson tartan is a bright and unusual beautiful sett (pattern). Crest: An oak tree, Proper. Motto: Stand sure Clan Badge: An Oak Tree Lands: Badenoch Seat: No currently recognised Clan Chief, or armigerous clan.
