Product details
CASA Salsa removes cooking fumes, heat and humidity to the outside, unlike recirculating hoods. High odour catching capacity enables effective fume removal at lower airflows, reducing energy use, pressure differences and noise. When connected to a ventilation unit, the hood uses the ventilation unit's fan — no separate hood fan or dedicated kitchen exhaust ducting is required. This arrangement typically results in lower sound levels at the kitchen compared with hoods that contain an internal fan. The ventilation mode can be controlled from the cooker hood (home / away / boost) and the ventilation unit automatically compensates the extracted cooking air to avoid negative pressure in the building. Older AC ventilation units can be controlled using the ITFC transformer accessory.
The hood can also be connected to a separate roof fan (silent option). It supports direct connection to external EC fans and to AC fans via the ITFC transformer accessory.
CASA Salsa is a pull-out cooker hood that integrates flush with kitchen cabinets when closed and is pulled out for cooking. Smooth surfaces and washable metal grease filters simplify maintenance. Lighting is provided by maintenance-free LEDs with adjustable brightness. The 24 V variant includes a mains transformer for voltage protection, yielding low power consumption and safe operation. All electrical connections are located above the hood for quick and easy installation.
Safety / Stove guard (optional)
The Salsa can be fitted with the Safera Safety stove guard system. The stove guard helps prevent common kitchen accidents by inhibiting unattended operation and cutting power if a cooker is left on. On Salsa models with Safera the stove guard is preinstalled in the hood. Installation also requires an approved power control unit (1-phase or 3-phase). A water leakage monitor (SA1) is recommended.
