They also ensure that the coffee retains its aroma and flavour, as well as protecting it from moisture, light and oxidation. Consequently, they also help to maintain the hygiene and quality of the coffee by preventing contamination by dust and other pollutants. These have the following characteristics: Delivery of roasted coffee from roaster reception Coffee cleaned by negative pressure Cube-shaped or octagonal silos Degassing roasted coffee for natural or torrefacto coffee Mixing system to blend origins Feed to grinding or packaging section. PLC control panel and SIEMENS/AB colour touch screen Ground coffee silos are airtight, dust-proof containers designed to store and preserve ground coffee safely and efficiently. In addition, its main function is to keep the coffee fresh and protect it from light, air and humidity, the three factors that contribute to the loss of aroma and flavour of coffee.
