Two types of watertightness are defined to determine a penstock
HydroVE
Penstocks are watertight upstream and downstream. Watertightness is provided upstream an installation either upstream or downstream of the item.
HydroVM
Penstocks are watertight upstream and downstream of Dn 200 to Dn 500. Penstocks Dn Dn 600 to 1200 are watertight upstream. Watertightness is provided within an installation upstream of the item.
HydroVL
Penstocks with shovel HDPE watertight upstream.
