The M70 table by Marco Dessí: elegant form, precise design. Whether conference or dinner – he likes both. It is voluminous and sculptural, a clear gesture in space and, thanks to its technological claim, a lightweight despite its volume: the new M70 table by Marco Dessí. Its design gesture cites a clear DNA: related to the successful lounge chair D70 by Marco Dessí. If the D70 invites relaxed positions with an expansive oval on its seat, the new M70 table gets its distinctiveness from the shapely semicircle. “We were looking for a dining table that could extend the story we started with the D70,” Marco Dessí tells us. The oval of the Lounger becomes a column in the new M70. A shape that means more stability and at the same time more legroom. The fine edges and play of light make the table appear visually light despite its size: The design determines the details, it is stable and movable in space. “It was important that it cut a good figure in the living area, but should be equally suitable as a conference table,” explains Dessí. At the customer’s request, the M70 can conceal annoying cable harnesses invisibly in its legs. The underframes and the tabletop are manufactured at Tecta in Lauenförde; individual customer requests for size, shape and veneer are implemented directly in the manufactory. “The M70 has fit naturally into the portfolio,” Dessí emphasizes. “All Tecta designs have an idiosyncratic character and yet harmonize together. That’s why it fits well in the collection – because it leaves many interpretation options open.”
