Fifth Avenue cabinet
Fifth Avenue furniture set in Manhattan Furniture System is a stylistic reference with its form to Art Deco period from American design. Preceding Constructivism, it was a direct answer to the lack of spatial discipline during Art Nouveau.
It was a deliberate consideration for modern designing aspect – thinking of functions and influence of a specific item on its physical and social surrounding – aiming at mass production. However, it was not successful because the artists paid too much attention to perfect workmanship, all the details and the quality of the materials used for production.
Fifth Avenue furniture collection is the first element of the Manhattan line. It is characterised by diverse shapes of the furniture body, as well as diverse materials and wood textures.
