The Redwood desk in the Organic collection is a reference to bionic shapes which are typical for nature. A huge tree trunk inspired the project with bark, which was just cut and found somewhere on a meadow. The raw and straightforward form directly refers to natural character. The combination of two textures – rough and hard bark surface with the beautiful satin area – offers unique aesthetic experiences. The presented project refers to a tree. “Bark”, as a texture, is created during mechanical work or it can be carved. The tabletop and the drawer fronts are made of polished, stained and lacquered wood, as well as the veneer. Chrome knobs also characterise the system for drawers and doors, which refer with their shape to a resin drop on a damaged tree.
