This collection of suspension lamps is inspired by an ideal banquet where the stars are the Savarin puddings, created using the unmistakable moulds, a perfect example of “culinary microarchitecture”. Over the centuries, these moulds have been chiselled by skilled craftsmen who have sculpted the sinuous shapes through complex interplays of volumes: the Babette lamps are the result of formal and aesthetic research to express such iconic and familiar shapes in a contemporary style. The lamps call to mind an imaginary hanging table put on show with extreme care, where the moulds become ceramic sculptures, lustred or glazed. The collection comprises three different volumes, presented using as many finishing treatments: glossy, opaque or lustre glaze.
