Terre Bathroom, designed by Sebastian Herkner, is an electric towel rail that combines primordial matter and contemporary technology, transforming the radiator into a sculptural element with a strong decorative value. The heating body is made of terracotta obtained from a premium clay extracted exclusively from the Impruneta quarry, in the Tuscan Chianti region. A radiator whose aesthetic is intensely tactile and 'warm', thanks to the extruded terracotta, giving TERRE a unique identity, profoundly unlike that of traditional metal radiators.
The smooth and luminous glazed surface retains slight variations and micro-porosity: authentic marks of the material's intrinsic character. It is precisely these imperfections that make each element unique, becoming the defining mark and greatest asset of the design.
Terre is available in five exclusive glazes: Vitreous White, Bark Brown, Mineral Grey, Ocean Blue, and in a transparent version that allows the natural colour of the terracotta to emerge.
At its core — made from recycled and recyclable aluminium developed in-house by Tubes — lies a 220/240V heating element with a safety thermostat, designed to maintain a constant temperature and optimise energy consumption.
Terre Bathroom is equipped with a brass towel rail available in all the 140 colours in the Tubes colour chart and in various galvanic finishes, easy to coordinate with bathroom taps and metallic accents. The hooks on both sides of the towel rail further increase the functionality of this designer radiator.
It can also be enhanced with a shelf in White Carrara marble, Black Marquina marble, or matt painted MDF, which offers a practical surface for accessories and everyday objects, combining aesthetic appeal, comfort and practicality.
