The Center Ridge I-beam Ridgelight is comprised of two rows of wall mounted longlights installed against each other on a center steel beam (supplied by others) to form a ridge. Special ridge cap flashing is supplied to connect the two rows. The modular Center Ridge I-beam Ridgelight is the ideal solution for large roof openings, bringing daylight into galleries, circulation areas and small internal courts. The Ridgelights add to the look and feel of the room and create an illusion of a small glass roof. VELUX skylight specialists offer support throughout design, specification and installation, including design of the sub-construction needed for installation. Please note that sub-constructions and center ridge I-beam are not included in the VELUX delivery. VELUX modular skylight system is a turnkey solution comprising prefabricated skylight modules with dedicated claddings, flashings and vapour barrier connection strip to allow for design of watertight rooflight and glass roof structures. Comfort ventilation is possible via an integrated chain actuator that can be controlled with VELUX INTEGRA® system or with your preferred building management system. Smoke ventilation can only be controlled with your preferred building management system. For optimal daylight and heat control consider internal roller blinds that can be pre-mounted from the factory.
