This painting represents a view over the Venice lagoon, made with a carved and painted silver leaf. The work is a mosaic of small multicolor overlapping glasses. The frame is made of silver wood. This design is created with hundreds or thousands of artistic colored glasses, which are rigorously hand cut and arranged together in order to achieve a piece that makes a simple wall shiny and fascinating. It was created using the mosaic technique: first the small pieces of glass are cut, then they were assembled until they form a view of the Venice lagoon made of bright colored glass.
