The Tap Water Carafe in glass is a water carafe designed to promote the use of tap water. Dutch tap water is top quality drinking water and it is 2000 times cheaper than bottled water. More importantly, it requires no environmentally polluting plastic bottles or transportation. The stopper of the carafe clearly refers to where the contents are tapped: from the tap, of course!
This version of the water carafe is made in borosilicate glass. It is a variant of the existing carafe in terracotta. For now, the glass version is only available in the variant "dune" (dune water). Unlike the terracotta version, this glass version is not self-cooling. An advantage is that the glass carafe does not get damp on the outside and therefore does not need to be placed on a water-resistant surface.
Description
Lotte de Raadt 's Design emphasizes the beauty of water, thereby encouraging more conscious use of this precious natural resource. The Tap Water Carafe in glass is perhaps her most self-explanatory design, emerging from this theme. Lotte originally designed the carafe as her graduation work in 2010, but the theme is still relevant today.
