The carvings and the finishing in gold leaf make this classic Empire style console an original furnishing component of great personality. The green marble shelf is supported by two side carved columns with floral decorations in the greek fret and on the sides. In an interesting play of symmetries, to the green marble shelf corresponds the base in the same material, while a mirror in the low wall creates an optical illusion of four supports. All is combined v/ith a rectangular wall mirror with rich gold and carved cornice.
