THE ACOUSTICS EMBODIES 80% OF THE FINAL RESULT OF THE HOME CINEMA INSTALLATION!
It is the most important element of the entire project, yet it is the one that is often the most neglected...
The defining feature of cinema resides in the number of speakers which emit sound in different directions in the same room. Installing 6 to 20 speakers in a reduced size room will resolutely produce a cinematic result if the sounds emitted remain perfectly precise, without bouncing on every wall of the room and without transforming into a veritable cacophony or a sound-box. The acoustic treatment (also known as “acoustic correction”) allows for perfect control of the surround sound in the interior of the room.
It functions as sound absorption zones (to prevent the sound from bouncing from wall to wall) and as sound diffusion (this in fact enlargens the sound field). The acoustic treatment is the most important part of a dedicated home cinema room project, for this alone represents 80% of the final result! This is however, an element that is often neglected or even forgotten...
