This luxurious private home cinema is located at the foot of the ski slopes in a prestigious chalet in Megève.
It’s in a warm and modern design that this 45 m2 cinema room has remarkable audio and video technology.
The client wanted to break the classic colour codes of a traditional Cinema, choosing a taupe carpet in pure wool, red alcantara cinema chairs with double motorisations and brushed copper wall panels. The private cinema is finely lit by indirect leds under the steps of the stage and the 2 waves of the stage, around the frame of the curved screen, without forgetting magnificent wall lamps with frosted glass (to avoid any light reflection from the screen).
Before our intervention, this raw room was used as a large storage and technical room. Many aesthetic constraints had to be taken into account, such as the presence of large ventilation ducts, which had to be hidden by creating formwork on 3 of the 4 walls. The dimensions of the room were not quite optimal for creating a cinema room, as it was too wide and not deep enough.
We solved the problem by installing a Biosonic Wall with 21 speakers behind the screen. With only 35cm depth, this allowed the screen to be placed further away from the audience and optimised the length of the room, which was a little short. Installing conventional cinema speakers and their subwoofers would have taken up 60cm of depth, with the result that the size of the screen had to be reduced.
Careful tapestry work on the air-conditioning soffits highlighted the 600 star acoustic ceiling.
