This Cateau desk was inspired by a stylish gate that William saw on a visit to an arts and crafts house in America. %u201CThe strap design appealed to me and I thought it would make a fine table leg....and it does!%u201D This piece has a midcentury feel to it but can be interpreted in a more contemporary way by making it in different woods. The dark charcoal leather top eliminates the chance of damage to the top surface and its always ready for use. Place it at a window or adjacent to a wall in the sitting room and use it as a partners desk. It has a wide drawer and can be drilled to accommodate cabling. As with all William Yeoward bespoke furniture the Cateau Writing desk can be crafted in a variety of timbers from oak, chestnut through to mahogany and walnut.
