Concrete skatepark CHESAPEAKE, VA

Located in Chesapeake City Park the Pro Series and Pre-Cast concrete hybrid Chesapeake Skatepark has been a hot spot for skaters since 2013. The design packs a huge variety of obstacles and different lines into a fairly small space. The concrete pad is broken up with green spaces throughout making zones that can be ridden independently or allow for flow between. The use of both Pro Series ramps as well as Pre Cast concrete allowed for the community to have a skatepark that would stand the test of time but also include a variety of elements and skate surfaces. Designed into the park ate the staple skatepark must haves like a halfpipe, stair set, pyramid and flat rail but the park also features unique elements like a concrete Halo Bank and Street Clam. It was important to eh City of Chesapeake that the park served all levels of sures so in our design we included a beginner line that is closest to the park entrance so the younger or more novice skaters would have a place to learn before progressing deeper into the park.
