The exceptionally detailed, multicoloured embroidery on hand-woven tussah silk makes Sandaga a highlight of the Etamine textile collection. It looks as if the embroidered figures were on their way to an exotic market. One of these women constitutes the centrepiece on this square cushion. To her left and right is Marabou fringe piping. The highly elegant, shiny material of the two-colour fringe produces a beautiful and powerful contrast of colours and materials. Losa Plus, a fine cotton satin, was selected for the back of the cushion. All in all, the interplay of colours on the front, back and fringe results in an eclectic yet coherent ensemble.
