The tree anchorage system Robafix® was developed specially for root ball anchoring on intensive Green Roofs and underground car parks.
It consists of
- 4 grid elements made of recycled plastic, total area 1.0 m²,
- 3 anchorage base plates made of aluminium, dimensions ca. 400 x 360 mm each, each with a lock screw for attaching belt,
- set of belts, consisting of three fixation belts (tensile strength ≥ 2.500 daN) and a tensioning strap( EN12192-2, ULS: 2.600 daN), each ca.50 mm wide,
- 1 coconut fibre mat as protection of the root ball, diameter 800 mm.
Since the holding plates can be positioned anywhere under the approximately 1 x 1 m grid element, the system allows individual adaptation to the diameter of the root ball and at the same time prevents contraction of the holding points. The root ball is permanently stabilized and carving out of the tree from the substrate by wind pressure or suction becomes impossible.
Robafix® is applied directly over the protection mat or over the filter sheet of the green roof system build-up, penetration free, and is suitable for roofs with an inclination of up to 5°.
