Protek® is the story of a family, of determined people and strong link with the territory.The brothers Giovanni and Maurizio Maggioni, in the mid-80s, collected the legacy of experiences and reins of the artisan activity of the father Rino, founded in 1951: a small mechanical workshop, operating in the heart of Brianza.
Initiative and dedication have been and are nowadays the characteristics that have allowed them to develop, over the years, numerous projects addressed to several sectors of industry and craftmanship.

This is “the professional school” that teaches the Maggioni brothers to use all types of materials, allowing them to develop original solutions which then will be applied in their first desired goal: design and manufacture of pocket frames for sliding doors and windows, with innovative and futuristic solutions, combined with the historic craftsmanship of accuracy and custom-tailoring.

Thus, at the beginning of the new millennium, Protek® was born: the name of the company deliberately encapsulates the idea of immediately figure out innovative products. Protek®,in fact, is the result of the contraction of “Technological Products”.

LOCATION

Protek® is based in Usmate Velate (MB), just outside Milan, where it has a production site of 10,000 square metres. Strong growth and the desire for continuous expansion made it essential the construction of a new 3,000 square metre logistics site to allow better management of both supplies and production. The new building was constructed with TX Active® cement, which allows an improvement in air quality due to its properties that break down organic and inorganic pollutants in the air.

PRODUCTION

Protek® invested a lot of resources and efforts to equip itself with an Industry 4.0 facility that could cope with new production requirements, as well as to improve the quality of products and the quality of life of workers by eliminating burdensome operations. Optimising production inevitably goes through a sustainability theme, which is a subject very close to our team's heart.

In this regard, we set our quality standards at a high level: high-quality materials such as aluminium and wood -coming from FSC-certified forests - and packaging that is 100 % recyclable and more environmentally friendly than previous packaging. Experience in design, a strong innovative spirit, continuous research and attention to detail embody the technological essence of Protek®.

The link between innovation and tradition, the connection to a territory rich in companies and people devoted to technology and design, represent the tools through which Protek® is able to create solutions that embrace 100% Made in Italy.

Our product range is divided into 6 collections:

Classic Collection: our line of pocket for doorposts and covering profiles.

Linear® Collection: our patent-protected line of pocket frame without doorposts and covering profiles and flush doors.

Magic Box® Collection: our patent-protected line of pocket frames prepared for electrical and/or water utilities. Available in Classic and Linear® versions.

Skudo® Collection: our patented line of pocket frames in kit, single or double with reduced packaging.

Wallout Collection: the external wall sliding kits.

Outdoor Collection: our line of pocke frames for outdoor.

Our technological know-how can be evidenced by the 25 patents in our portfolio, resulting in innovative solutions that bring numerous benefits to our customers, because, for Protek®, our aim has always been to be to create products with a high technological value for our customers, in such a way as to guarantee maximum satisfaction and minimise problems.

SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainability has always marked both Protek®'s work processes and decisions towards the future, with a view to always becoming greener and more environmentally friendly. Therefore, we have embarked on a path focused on a sustainable economy: we have invested in renewable energy sources, including our new photovoltaic system, new A+ energy class offices and a new 3000 sqm building constructed using TX Active® technology.

These investments allow us to reduce our energy consumption and our greenhouse gas emissions, thus helping to mitigate the effects of climate change. Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond the adoption of clean technologies. We have implemented sustainable practices in every aspect of our business, from supply chain to manufacturing operations. This allows us to limit our environmental impact and promote environmental conservation.

We are proud to declare that we are a 'Zero Emission company', not only reducing our CO2 emissions, but fully offsetting them. This has enabled us to achieve carbon neutrality, a significant step towards a more sustainable future.

The packaging of our products is also 100 per cent recyclable to ensure that it is environmentally friendly, and has undergone a profound renovation to ensure a lower environmental impact in terms of both plastic used, rather than wood and paper, and the use of less energy-intensive and more sustainable materials, such as aluminium versus steel.
