Unilin Panels

Who we are

As part of the UNILIN Group, UNILIN Panels is deeply routed in the Belgian landscape. Since the 1960s, we have drawn creativity from what the environment has to offer — first flax, then wood —to create refreshing new solutions. We combine our local foundations with the international wings of the Mohawk Group, the global leader in floor covering, which helps give the UNILIN Group the clout to grow on a world scale, to bundle expertise and to continue to work more innovatively and more creatively.

Producing innovative wood panels for the construction and interior sector— that’s UNILIN Panels. Far more than just putting panels together, we approach your project pro-actively and look for high-quality, sustainable solutions. By combining creative product design with exceptional service and a robust vision of sustainability, we arrive at the most appropriate solution to your problem.

As a pioneer in the circular economy, we invite construction and interior design professionals to help build a more sustainable future. We opt for wood as a renewable raw material, but only use recovered wood to produce new, high-quality panels.

Following intensive sorting and cleaning processes — one of our strengths — the residual fraction is even reused to generate green energy for our own production. For transport, we use nearby waterways as much as possible and, just like our wood, we look for staff close to home. After all, investing in local employment is sustainable too.

Our values

PRODUCT DESIGN

Good is never good enough. With a passion for design, we strive for better every single day — both technically and aesthetically. We build upon focused R&D to enhance the performance of our panels, and draw inspiration from nature, fashion and architecture to create timeless designs to help your project shine.

We construct our wood decors and textures using the newest techniques, so you neither see nor feel the difference between them and authentic materials.

DURABILITY

We choose wood, but only use recovered wood to produce new, high-quality panels. 100% of the wood we use in production is 'recovered wood'.

Did you know that no tree is uprooted specifically for our production? We consciously choose recovered wood to produce quality products such as chipboard and MDF. Recovered wood is wood and wood waste that is no longer usable for someone else and we therefore save it from incineration. We give it an extra life by using it as raw material for new products.

This means that every day we save 4,000 trees from being felled. We source our raw material in a sustainable way so that felling is not necessary and we commit ourselves to keep wood in circulation for as long as possible.
