2) Green or nothing - Sustainability is the cornerstone of the Versus project

From the first time that we decided to face the challenge of creating a range of display cases, unique in its quality, design and flexibility, we committed ourselves to making sustainability the core of all the decisions concerning the process of production and design. Versus was to be a green brand, for real. We have always honoured this commitment with determination and transparency.

The first challenge was to have 100% local resources and production. Versus not only is created in Italy and feeds on the quality of the Italian refrigeration sector, but it has also developed all its production system within its territory and with Italian suppliers.

Moreover, we have managed to ensure that our plant in Bologna is able to meet its annual energy needs in full from renewable sources. Considering the continuous growth of our production, we expect the plant to reach at full capacity a green energy production equal to 116,937 kWh/year, which means a saving in CO2 emissions of 41,208 kg. At present, we independently generate over 90% of the energy needed. In addition, at the end of their service life, 90% of the display case materials can be recycled.
