Beds
Design Patricia Urquiola (2007)
The elements that give the Lazy collection its unique character are revisited in the headboard of a new bed by Patricia Urquiola, which was designed in both double and single versions. In the double version, the headboard consists of two independent elements and is softened by cushions that are supported by an elastic strap in a choice of three colours in the same shade as the fabric or leather upholstery, or in a contrasting colour. Adjustable in height, the cushions can be placed in a comfortable position for reading or for watching TV. Two tubular metal supports hold up the frame; a version is available with casters at the rear that make it easy to move. The base frame contains a metal mesh with pre-curved beech wood slats. |
|
The bed instills a lightness sense and answers to the requirements of a modern taste and tendency. The testiera, with panel centers them in wood, and the longone they are realized in an only piece of bent multilayer. Lines stiff curves and, dulled edges, esthetic lightness. Pianale in multilayer for support mattress with holes for aereazione and piolini in rubber fermamaterasso. The mattress directly rests on the pianale guaranteeing `an optimal postura for the rest.
In the photo it comes introduced in essence to rovere gray.

| The new bed collection from the house of de Sede celebrates the rediscovery of divine sleep and thereby redefines that old saying about "making your bed and lying on it". This is thanks to a design principle that follows closely in the footsteps of the DS-164 and DS-165 sofas - both of which already enjoy cult status. The bed-heads can be adjusted to precisely the right position for every occasion: from front to rear, from left to right. This makes it a true premiere in bed design. The DS-1164/1165 models guarantee that any hint of boredom in the bedroom is most definitely a thing of the past. These beds bear eloquent witness to how daring design can play delightfully with sensuality to conjure up unique new vistas for the human imagination. Added to this comes an intriguing choice of shapes. But the practical element has not been forgotten: standardised elements can be used for the slatted frames and mattresses thus allowing customers to choose their beds "inner selves" to suit their own individual requirements. These beds provide the ideal spot for virtually untrammelled dreaming - both by night and by day. |

A bed whose design language changes completely depending
on if it stands alone or if two are combined to make a double
bed. Design: David Wahl. |
|
| This padded double bed has a unique design. The headboard continues the entire length of the bed to the footboard and folds back on itself to trace a highly original form resembling a paperclip. The headboard can adopt different inclinations. The bed can take all kinds of bases, with thicknesses varying from 6.5 cm to 17.5 cm, thanks to the adjustable support system. The fully removable covers can be chosen from a wide range of fabrics or leather. The proposal is completed with a side table, a lacquered structure |

Two ways to enjoy the night, two demonstrations of supreme mastery, giving form to the Aurora beds. Aurora Due is notable for its ample and inviting concave headboard, modelled and punctuated at regular intervals to create a modern capitonne. Aurora Uno, whose imposing headboard is interrupted by a geometric bas-relief, a frame into which the stitching flows together. Architecture in leather and soft padding, the integration of design and practicality.
The base is in poplar plywood, lightly padded with polyurethane foam and upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System or in Heritage leather, as is the headboard, the frame of which is in seasoned beechwood. The Aurora Uno and Due beds offer a wide range of bases, mattresses and accessories from the Poltrona Frau Notte® collection. |

| A modern bed with a Nordic image, hinting at wide-open, sunlit spaces, furnished in minimal style, but is quite at home in more traditional atmospheres thanks to the rigorously clean lines. The steel structure is covered with high density cold cured polyurethane foam in the version with the traditional platform, or in multi-ply with light padding in the version that fits other types of bases. Upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather from the Frau Color System or Heritage leather. The swivelling wheels have leather-covered studs and the front set has a self-blocking mechanism. Andromeda is available both as a single or double bed. |
