Alhena, the new night collection from Mercantini, is the result of a well developed project designed to offer maximum freedom of composition based on personal needs in terms of taste and space. The elements available in the collection can be used to create both traditional type settings - a bed with classic nightstands and dresser - as well as more modern, creative settings - chests of drawers and fitted benches in both wall and corner versions. The style of the settings can also be personalised by choosing from numerous, original bed types - in wood, in leather, upholstered; matched to various bed frames, including one with a storage drawer. The surfaces of the dresser and nightstand front panels is available plain or engraved. The handles are available in wood, metal and leather and metal. Light or dark oak finishes matched to those of the Immagine Collection wardrobes.

This tall standing, 5-drawer chest has slender legs elegantly lifting the robust body away from the floor. Functional rectilinear handles stretch the full width of each drawer.
Specifications
Available in american black walnut finished with a danish oil or american white oak finished with a danish oil or a white oil. For further information on materials and finishes please view the Materials subsection in the Products menu. The cabinet top, base and side panels are manufactured from solid planks of oak or walnut, joined using wooden dowels and adhesive. Screws disguised with long grain dowels strengthen the connections. The rear panel is plywood with a matching veneer on both sides. The panel is slotted into the rebated frame for a seamless connection. The cabinet leg structure is solid oak or walnut, joined using mortise and tenon joints. The drawer fronts and handles are solid oak or walnut attached to American Basswood drawer sides using dovetail joinery. The base panel of the drawers is made from plywood with a matching veneer, and this panel slots into rebates in the drawer sides for a seamless connection. The drawers have an internal depth of 132mm (5.20”) Hidden metal runners on the underside of the drawers have a sprung “pull back” action. This cabinet is delivered fully assembled and glued, except for the base. The base is delivered as a separate piece that needs to be installed using the fittings provided. This is approximately 10 minutes work. Please refer to assembly instructions provided at time of delivery.
