A Sandwich panel is a panel that is used on an external bearing wall of a structure. It incorporates both an inner and outer leaf with insulation and cavity, held together by stainless steel connectors, and therefore replaces the need for two separate leaves, as per standard construction.
These walls can be altered in width, depending on the amount of insulation that is required, but a typical value for the wall width is 320mm wide.
150mm – Internal leaf
60mm – Insulation
40mm – Cavity
70mm - Outer leaf
The external leaf of this sandwich panel can be rendered in any colour required, similar to a normal cladding panel.
