Metal is a range of high pressure laminates clad with aluminium. The sheets of aluminium are very fine, just 0.1 or 0.4 mm so that they can be processed using normal woodworking machinery.The aluminium is protected either with anodization (articles A000, A008, A009) or by a layer of epoxy lacquer (articles 7135, 7777). All these decorations are suitable for vertical use only, due to their lack of resistance to scratches, scuffs and chemical products.Aluminium is very delicate and hot objects or sticky tape can ruin the surface. The appearance of the Metal changes when it is rotated by 90 or 180°.Metal can be cleaned with a soft cloth and soap and water, but solvents should be avoided as they could damage the surface.Metal laminates must be glued cold or at quite low temperatures.Coordinated ABS or CPL edging is also available.
