EnviroCore New: EnviroCore uses 30% lead-free recycled content, with the dual benefit of reducing PVC-U waste without a detrimental impact on quality or thermal performance. The only difference you will notice is the distinctive dark grey core and 8% heavier material content, giving the product a premium feel. Multi-chamber A-rated Legend windows and doors combine multi-chambered PVC-U frame profile, spacer bar and high performance glass where applicable, creating the most thermally-efficient project solution. Multi-chambered profile has been developed as part of continuous improvement allowing the option of steel reinforcement if required. Thermal reinforcements The Legend system includes a range of BBA approved plastic thermal reinforcements (PTRs) manufactured from recycled PVC-U. PTRs provide increased thermal performance when compared against steel reinforcing, and can save money on insulated glazing unit specifications (IGU) (conductivity of 0.17 W/m.K for PTR, 50 W/m.K for steel and 160 W/m.K for aluminium).
