fiberglass-insulation

Fiberglass insulation used on floors, facades, roofing or elsewhere slows the dissipation of heat energy. Along with rock wool, it is one of the two types of mineral fiber insulators. ArchiExpo features a broad selection of thermal and acoustic insulators, including cork, hemp, wood particles, fiberglass, rock wool, polystyrene, polyethylene and polyurethane.

Applications

This material can be used for the thermal and acoustic protection of individual or collective living units, offices, shops and other structures. It also constitutes a barrier agaists the spread of fire.

Technologies

Insulating efficiency is expressed as a heat conductivity coefficient and a thermal resistance measure, the R value. Regulations define minimum standards for every type of partition and for heating, ventilation and other equipment. Fiberglass is the most utilized insulation material. Installed in roofs, floors and walls, it protects against cold in winter and heat in summer.
