A washer-extractor (or automatic washing machine) automatically fills with water, cleans fabrics, and then extracts the water from the fabrics, usually by spinning them in a drum.

A washer-extractor may be used for commercial laundrettes, laundry rooms in businesses or services such as hotels, hospitals or spas or other activities where a very high standard of cleanliness is required (e.g., cleanrooms in manufacturing plants or laboratories).
How to chooseWhen choosing a washer-extractor, ensure that it is well adapted to its intended use. Consider the volume and speed of laundry which needs to be processed, the running costs, water/electricity efficiency as well as the quality of the wash and water extraction. Consider how the washer extractor will be installed to the water supply and evacuation.
Consider whether extra functions (such as money collectors for laundrettes) are required and ensure that the range of speeds, temperatures and cycles are suitable for intended use.
