Description

Overview
The CardPass3 mobile access control case is a compact, portable solution for mobile access control and time stamping. It integrates autonomous control electronics, two id3m RFID badge readers (entry/exit) and offers Ethernet or optional 4G connectivity. Suitable for events, construction sites, universities, conference and training centres.

Electronics and RFID badge readers
The case houses autonomous control electronics with embedded access management logic. It includes two id3m RFID readers (one for entry, one for exit). Reader LEDs indicate badge events (green for granted, red for denied) and multi‑colour sequences (red, green, blue) signal system states and events (already entered, invalid badge, unauthorized time slot, etc.).

Autonomous access control system
The system can operate fully autonomously without a computer or Internet connection: all events (accepted and rejected) are stored locally. Badges supplied with the kit can be presented to the readers to register passages. Local configuration and activation/deactivation of badges is possible directly on the unit.

Local network operation
The case can connect to a computer via an Ethernet port. The CardPass3 software communicates with the case electronics to display entries/exits in real time, add or remove users, create time slots and access zones. The software also provides presence control functions (user and period statistics) and Excel export.

Connected 4G access control (option)
An optional 4G module enables interconnection with a central database (cloud) and integration into a site-wide access control system. Multiple interconnected cases can be deployed to cover several zones without physical cabling.

Application and options
  • CardPass3 (software): connect the case to an access control system, automatic download of events, real-time monitoring of entries/exits, user management, time slot and zone creation, Excel export (presence control, working time management, payroll export).
  • CardPass3 Mobile (app): smartphone application to manage and interact with the system remotely (requires Internet when used for remote control).

Attendance control
The case can include an optional occupancy counter showing the number of people present in the controlled area in real time. The system can be configured to deny access when the limit is reached (entry reader LED lights red on denial). An economical solution for badge registration and counting on small sites or events.

Battery power
Optional integrated battery allows mobile operation without mains power. Announced autonomy: well over one day in standard use.

Access obstacle management
The case provides relay outputs (dry contact pairs) to control all types of access obstacles (e.g. tripod turnstile on platform, full-height turnstile). Enables rapid deployment of mobile access control assemblies.
